WedVeil does not use Cookies to process payments between Couples and Vendors.

Any payment-related technologies used through WedVeil relate only to WedVeil's own subscriptions or clearly identified WedVeil digital Platform services.

WedVeil does not control all independent third-party practices.

16. Subscription Payment Technologies

WedVeil may use a third-party payment processor for WedVeil subscription payments.

Such payment functionality relates only to WedVeil's own subscriptions or digital Platform services.

It does not process Couple-to-Vendor wedding payments, deposits, retainers, escrow, or other private financial arrangements between users.

Payment providers may use Cookies or similar Technologies that are genuinely necessary to:

• provide secure checkout;

• prevent payment fraud;

• authenticate a transaction;

• maintain payment security; or

• provide other requested payment functionality.

Any unrelated advertising or analytics functionality from the same provider should not automatically be treated as Necessary.

Where prior consent is legally required for optional Cookies, WedVeil uses privacy-protective default settings.

Advertising: Inactive

Optional Technologies should not be initialized before the required consent has been obtained.

Allows advertising or related measurement technologies where those technologies are actually used.

22. Changing or Withdrawing Consent

Users may change their Cookie preferences after making an initial choice.

Where available, users may reopen the Cookie Settings interface through the WedVeil footer.

If a user withdraws consent for an optional category, WedVeil may:

• prevent future initialization of the applicable optional Technologies;

• remove applicable first-party optional Cookies or browser storage where technically possible;

• update third-party provider consent states where supported; and

• prevent those Technologies from loading again on future visits unless the user changes the preference.

Withdrawal of optional consent should not delete or disable Necessary authentication and security Cookies.

WedVeil may maintain a version identifier for its Cookie consent framework.

If the meaning of consent materially changes, or if new processing requires renewed consent, WedVeil may ask users to make a new Cookie choice.

29. Do Not Track and Other Browser Signals

Browsers may provide other privacy signals or “Do Not Track” settings.

Because legal and technical standards for such signals may differ, WedVeil will respond to them where required by applicable law or where WedVeil expressly supports the applicable signal.

30. Regional Cookie Rules

Cookie and tracking rules differ between countries and regions.

WedVeil may configure consent behavior according to applicable law.

Where prior consent is required before optional Technologies can be used, those Technologies should remain inactive until the appropriate consent is obtained.

Where reliable jurisdiction detection is unavailable, WedVeil may use privacy-protective defaults rather than silently enable optional tracking.

WedVeil does not require precise GPS location merely to determine Cookie compliance.

31. EEA and United Kingdom Users

Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom rules apply, non-essential Cookies and similar Technologies may require prior consent.

WedVeil seeks to follow the principle that optional tracking Technologies should not be secretly initialized before the user has made a legally required choice.

Where consent is required, the consent interface should control actual Technology initialization rather than merely record a preference after the Technology has already loaded.

40. No Forced Optional Consent

Users should not be required to accept optional Analytics or Advertising Cookies merely to:

• browse ordinary public WedVeil content;

• register;

• sign in;

• maintain an account; or

• use core Platform functionality

where such optional Cookies are not technically necessary.

41. No Consent Dark Patterns

Where WedVeil requests Cookie consent, it should not intentionally use deceptive design to obtain optional consent.

For example, WedVeil should not:

• pre-enable optional categories as accepted where prior consent is required;

• treat scrolling as consent;

Cookie choices do not change the basic distinction between WedVeil subscriptions and independent wedding-service transactions.

WedVeil subscription payments are payments for access to WedVeil digital Platform functionality.

• retainers;

• wedding-service payments;

• escrow;

• refunds; or

• other financial arrangements.

• Platform functionality changes;
